Info Salons a Gifted Finalist

The 2007 Gift Awards celebrated the best products, services and people in Australia’s $20 billion gift industry. The aim of the awards is to encourage industry professionals to excel in their business and personal goals, and reward those who achieve outstanding results. Info Salons is proud to announce their nomination as a finalist in the category of Outstanding Industry Contribution.

Info Salons have been providing registration solutions for Reed Exhibitions for over 15 years on a variety of exhibitions throughout Australia and overseas.  The annual Giftware shows are integral in the events calendar. The major challenge for Reed is ensuring that everyone attending the Gift Fair is a legitimate buyer or senior representative of a company.  In September 2005, Info Salons took the initiative to create a Gift Industry Card (GIC) for Reed Exhibitions and the Gift & Homewares Association. The GIC permanent membership card is distributed to all gift show visitors. Each visitor need simply scan their GIC on arrival at any Giftware show nationally, and their show badge is automatically printed. The card is valid forever and organisers are saved the cost of registration each year.

“Info Salons is proud to be acknowledged as a finalist in the recent Reed Gift Awards by such a credible and significant body in the Australian Events & Exhibitions Industry.

Over many years Info Salons have built a solid relationship with Reed and the Gift Industry Association and by working together as a team we are able to produce effective tailored registration solutions for each of their events” says Jo-Anne Kelleway, Director Info Salons Australia.

Australian Events Exhibition Exceeds Expectation

The recent Australian Events Exhibition was held at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre in May and showcased the latest products & services the exhibition and events industry has to offer. From venues to entertainers, suppliers to organisers, the variety of exhibitors and quality of visitors created a memorable exhibition.

“Our inaugural expo opened its doors to a crowded foyer of hosted buyers, media and VIP’s.  The initial buzz was encouraging as was the following two successful days. We are pleased with the support for the AEE.”  Stated Louise Brookes, Event Manager, Exhibitions and Trade Fairs Pty Ltd.

Info Salons was a proud sponsor of the event providing registration services onsite and being an interactive exhibitor. Exhibiting at the event offered Info Salons the opportunity to release their new designed, state of the art stand which presented visitors with the opportunity to experience interactive product demonstrations via two custom made information pods featuring new Photo ID badging and the latest advancements in online registration pages.

The Australian Events Exhibition also utilised Info Salons latest iForum online matchmaking application which matched hosted buyers and exhibitors with relevant information regarding products and services they were seeking. The hosted buyers also had the opportunity to schedule appointments with exhibitors to discuss their requirements in detail. This ensured both parties saved time locating each other on the exhibition floor allowing greater opportunity to discuss the buyer’s requirements.

“The onsite registration process was smooth and effective and our high visitor numbers did not prove a problem for Info Salons staff. Having an onsite manager and timely feedback at all times made the registration hassle free for organisers and fast for visitors” Louise Brookes, Event Manager, Exhibitions and Trade Fairs Pty Ltd.

Over 3500 trade visitors, hosted buyers and corporate VIP’s passed through the exhibition floor. The quality of attendees exceeded expectation and allowed exhibitors to interact with key decision makers within the industry.

“The quality of visitors was also high with over 68% indicating an involvement in the purchasing decisions for their company” Louise Brookes, Event Manager and organiser, Exhibitions and Trade Fairs Pty Ltd.

The next Australian Events Exhibition will take place at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre from the 13th – 14th May 2008.
